Dream Social work places qualified professionals in a range of Fostering and Adoption services throughout the
UK. Our candidates are of an exceptional caliber with a range of qualifications and expertise. Dream Social
Workers are thoroughly vetted and assessed so as to provide an extremely high level of service. With the
assistance of Dream Social work, our candidates can have a rewarding future within the key service area
of Fostering and Adoption.
A Fostering and Adoption social worker’s main function is to assess the suitability of families for the fostering
or adoption of children in need. Their responsibilities involve recruiting, assessing and providing ongoing
support to foster carers and adopters of children. Fostering and Adoption workers spend the majority of
their working day visiting and interviewing families with the majority of the rest of their time spent in
the office writing up reports or recording case work.
Much like any social worker, an individual who is interested in working with Fostering and Adoption services
will need to be able to; interact effectively with people of all ages (especially children), understand
and empathise with people, communicate efficiently, be diplomatic and knowledgeable about child protection
issues while being sensitive to all parties concerned, and be effective in encouraging and inspiring people.
